Cosplay Feature: NIKKI for a COSPLAY DOCUMENTARY by PVT Channel 4

i got a call from PTV Channel 4 last month for another cosplay feature~yay!!!

(cosplaying as a female rune knight from ragnarok...sorry i lost my knee high socks so yeah my legs are bare)

but this time, it's for a documentary about cosplay here in the Philippines

different cosplayers raging from cross dresser, japanese fashion enthusiast, otaku blogger, mecha cosplayer,

cosplayers from a cosplay organization, cosplayer/freelance model and me ( a plain cosplayer LOL ) were invited for the documentary and were interviewed regarding cosplay/cosplaying and the different issues about cosplay/cosplaying here in the country

it is somehow an in depth documentary on how cosplay began here in the country

the how and why did the Filipinos started cosplaying

there were a lot of topics actually, but everything else basically revolves around COSPLAY itself :3

Cosplay Feature: NIKKI at PERSONAGE

today is a rest day and a movie marathon for me :]

so much for work and stress~

a lot of things happened and enough with my feel trip as for my last post here XD

for the yay ~ i got featured

The feature is about cosplaying and me as a cosplayer

actually, I am not that prepared for the questions so excuse me for my answers 

but meh~ I think it's just fine :P

actually, I began to question myself about the things that keep me going...

keep me cosplaying...

the community is very different now as compared before,

many cosplayers come and go

there are different views upon cosplaying and motives behind cosplaying

a hobby? a form of art?  an escape from reality? a career? a stepping stone? competition? work?

I don't know about yours...but whatever it is, let's just make this community work

let's make this hobby fun and just enjoy it like any other hobby there is

my feels:my life

during the start of this year (2013)

me and my cousins won the gangnam style dance contest hur-hur-hur

i also won 2nd place at a cosplay event

kim and my photo won 3rd place in a sylvanian family photo contest

my photo also won 1st place at crunchy roll's monster hunter photo contest

kim and i won best monster and best female respectively last level up live 2013

i got featured in different sites: magnetic rose.net, anibee.tv etc.

rakets here and there

i transferred grad school and enrolled for MAED this sem

i'm still a grade 3 teacher together with the osm people of grade 3

then i thought..."hey! i actually got a good head start!"

but conflicts came like pouring rain

it somehow crushed me

~my SIM only placed 3rd at a science fair

despite giving my all and sticking with the criteria and last year's tips during the division meet

~i won't be able to continue attending graduate school 

because we have a CATCH UP PROGRAM every Saturday 

(it's 16 Saturdays btw...14 more to go)

my entry for cosplay snapshot project 4 didn't make it :c

i'am really pissed right now...

i wanted a break...

i wanted to finish my masterals but stupid things happen

i wanted to grab every opportunity that i can but i can't

because of time...

classes were suspended...

~off to an interview

Nikki as Female Rune Knight from Ragnarok Online

  Hoorah for my 2nd cosplay entry!!! 

This cosplay is very special to me...

because it's actually a planned cosplay from last year's LU live 2012

~well the truth is I always wanted to cosplay a female crusader when I was in college...

but due to tons of school works ... I wasn't able to cosplay a crusader but a female rune knight instead after almost 4 years (LOL)

Just a 'lil bit of a side story: I used to play RO when I was in HS

then tried it again during my college days 

my character's jobs were hunter, rogue, stalker, crusader etc.

so somehow this cosplay is both satisfying and enjoying on my part

because I was able to somehow make it to life! (finally)

[My costume is not finished yet... it's still incomplete due to lack of time and our busy work schedule]

The armor pieces and  the weapon were hand crafted by my iban

(I just assisted him because I was also busy during the making of this costume)

but still...this costume is still the fruit of our love lol labor XD

~Loki heart helped me with the cape and even let me borrow her SGH

because my helm of dragoon didn't make it on time hihi~

loki also shared her secret boobie technique for flat chested girls like me hahaha

as for the wig...loki and azreal bought it during their china trip

it's actually a twin tail with a base wig but what I did was place the twin tails at the back of the base wig so that it wouldn't look cutesy and all

...my makeup is kind'a heavy but not that much LOL~idk gaaaah!

I forgot to use my circle lenses but the lashes and eye liner did the trick there~orayt!

and to top it all...

my fave part of this costume are the spikes~hell yeah!

it was all worth it!

BTW we'll finish this costume someday (with all the detailing and stuff)
